Professor Michael Hollingworth is an award winning
Radio and TV Producer, Broadcaster and Lecturer
in broadcast communications. He has credits as Producer
and Presenter of c.3,500 hours of broadcasting,
including: “Any Questions”, “Stop
The Week” and the “Today” Programme.
He also became the BBC Radio Appeals Producer, responsible
for “The Week’s Good Cause”, Emergency
Disaster appeals and co-producing the huge annual
“BBC Children in Need” appeal.
His consultancy list includes the Cave Rescue Organisation,
The English Prayer Book Society, The Memorial Fund
for Disaster Relief, The Parkinson’s Disease
Society, ‘PHAB’, The Royal Geographical
Society, The United Nations Association, and several
universities. He has also just been elected to the
Committee of the Writers, Producers and Directors
division of the Broadcasting, Entertainment, Cinema
and Television Union (BECTU) of the United Kingdom.
He has been advisor to two Home Secretaries, a Minister
of Sport, three members of the House of Lords and
senior members of the BBC. Michael is highly regarded
as one of the best ‘ideas’ men in the
